About Rosy

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • Rescue ID: R04-020/21FP
  • Current Size: 50 Pounds
  • Housetrained: Yes
Rosy is about 2 years old and weighs 50 pounds on a short stocky, muscled, beautiful frame, She's solid white with a few brown/reddish patches, just beautiful inside and out. Looking in the breed book she could be a purebred American Staffie, she's buff but very feminie looking, a rare find. She's a happy clown that loves being around her people, loves to run and play with other dogs and gets along with most dogs but can be selective. Most of all like all bullies, loves to be with her human. So the best home would be a quiet but active adult home , someone that will be dedicated to her for life including continued Obedience training, she's supersmart and already knows a lot and is VERY obedient and a pleaser. She has started training in basic commands and doing very well. Good on leash, sits when asked, lets you walk through door first most the time, responds well and fast to POS training. She's not a hyper dog but is young and wants to play, run and swim, however when in the house she's good and quiet and lies by your side or in your lap. Rosy is a quiet dog overall, rarely ever barks even if other dogs bark. Rosy is not a fence jumper or digger either but loves tough chew toys she can chew on, loves her pig ears and rawhides. Rosy had been fostered with another female 70 pound Dobie mix and a 55 pound male Sharpei mix before, she is now alone and wanting companionship and playtime either with a human and/or the right matching dog buddy. We prefer stable adopters over the age of 25, and MUST be homeowners since there are now so many laws from landlords ect. Bullie experience would be nice. Rosy would be a great choice for a first time Bullie owner as long as they have read up on breed and are willing to learn more along with professional obedience training (for dogandhuman). I can see Rosy in a stable adult home where someone is home part of the time or home buiness someone looking for a gentle, sweet, loyal lifelong friend. Rosy is fine with older kids that are respectful of dogs. She has done just fine at adoption days and loves being petted by all kids Rosys foster Dad thaught Rosy to "Nose Bumpi" that is her way of giving a kiss by gently touching noses as she does not lick, I call it the butterfly kiss she does it on comand most times, she loves to be close up face to face and loves eye contact, loves being petted and fussed over Her favorite game when she plays with humans is being chased and running with them. The second the running stops she puts her brakes on too and stands totally still very unique and funny .Rosy loves LOTS of toys she's a collector, loves soft beds and blankets and she loves being spoiled. Rosy can come on a bit strong when meeting other dogs as she wants to jump into it right away for a game of playing for that reason we don't have a suitable play partner for her and she's lonely for a play buddy or a active human Rosy is one of my favorites a sensitive, smart, loving beauty. Application at www.sadt.info adoption fee, homecheck, fenced yard, vet references. Please contact: 530-356-2204 saveadog@snowcrest.net
