Hi, my name is Saphira and I have a story to tell, I was just 6 weeks old when my siblings and I where dumped in a kill pound, when we where 8 weeks old a rescue was wanting to take all 8 of us but the person in charge there though rescuers make millions of us and would not let us go, so we waited 4 more months in the pound struggling to stay warm on th cold floors and keep our belly full with just one small meal a day of dry pebbles.
I was the smallest of all and the others bullied me all the time
at 6 months old we all became urgent and where ready to be killed in the pound but thanks for dedicated rescuers we where all saved by different rescues, can you believe that was a year ago and I'm still waiting for my family but everyone looks at the flashy dogs and not at me, if they would just see how much love and loyalty is under the black coat and in my heart


I love going for walks at the sundial bridge once or twice a week, if you love to come along to meet me just call my rescuer


Saphira is about 1.5 years old, 40 pounds on a short stocky healthy body (I call her Butterball:) very cute, sweet but a bit shy with new people no aggression issues,

She does play with other dogs once she knows them and prefers mellower male dogs that do not come on strong right away but after 10 minutes she looses interest so another dog at home is not a must

She would be fine with a calm older child that knows how to respect animals


Saphira has a beautiful sleek black coat that looks chocolate brown in the sun, with white markings,
She enjoys her walks at the sundial bridge and loves exploring the water (SAc River)


She's fully house trained and a house dog with play&potty brakes outside

Saphira loves the water specially in this heat
