Lucky is approximately 2.5 years old. She was rescued from Fiji in October 2008 while we were vacationing there. She suffered from malnutrition and had to fend for herself, weighing only 18 pounds (now 45). She immediately stole our hearts with her sweet passive (and of course very scared) attitude. Even though she was starving she gently ate the tuna we would feed her and was more interested in us petting her than the food.
Lucky did test heartworm positive and has undergone all treatments necessary and should test heartworm free at her next appointment. Current on all vaccines and has been spayed. She is extremely house trained. She is left alone in our home with no doggie door everyday while we are at work and has not had an accident in well over a year. She outgrew the puppy phase about four months ago and stopped chewing on bones, stuffed animals, etc. She is very house friendly (does not get on furniture), very loyal, loving, affectionate pet.
Like all medium size dogs she does need exercise daily. Being the perfect size and age! Not too young, not too old! She is a house dog and we have to insist that in her new home that she HAS TO BE AN INSIDE DOG and in a home that can give her lots of love and attention that she deserves and she will return it 10 times fold.
