Our family, the Tate Family, thanks you ahead of time for any help you are able to give us in Re-Homing our precious Calico kitty . . . . Amber.
We are David & Rachel, and, after 27 years here, we are leaving our Redding community to move overseas. We are looking for someone who would be delighted to love on this little feline member or our family, Amber, as much as we have for the last 12 years of her life, since she was just a kitten! If you’ve had pets before you probably know how reluctant we are to say goodbye, and how determined we are to find a new owner with whom she’ll have a wonderful life … wonderful enough for her to not miss us too much!
Amber is a medium-haired female calico. She is super intelligent, having almost a human-like personality, and we guarantee you’ve likely never had a cat look at you with such a contemplative, fixed gaze. Sooner or later nearly everyone who meets her comments on how it seems like she’s staring straight into your soul. She is very sweet, loves a lot of attention, especially lately as she can tell something is up as we prepare to move.
Amber has been spayed, and is up to date on her vaccinations.
As our family has always lived in the countryside, just outside of Redding to the west, well away from the city, we have always let all of our cats … (12 total over our 27 years here!) … enjoy roaming outside on our 4 acres of property during the mid-part of the day, and then in the late afternoon/evening have made sure to always bring them in for safety (from coyotes, etc), as we have lost several cats by leaving them outside overnight. Also, as they are only used to living toward the end of a dead-end road in the country, and have never lived in a residential neighborhood, they are not car-smart or city-smart at all. So we are ideally looking for someone who can accommodate this same country, indoor/outdoor lifestyle Amber has enjoyed.
