I'm needing help to find a home for my 3yr old male (fixed) German Shepherd dog. He is also sunset red in color and his name is Maximus Aurelius. My Mom is wanting him gone as soon as possible. He loves kids and some guys. He just has to get to know them. He's great with my son, brother, and a family friend. He usually is in a big kennel pen except when we take him in walks or allow him to run around. A guy friend went around his kennel yesterday and he went bollistic, hitting the kennel pen and growling like he wanted to attack him. My mom is afraid that if she turns him loose he will attack. He doesn't, he just is ultra protective of us girls. He did this to our family friend who lives here, but once Max was out of the kennel all he did was sniff and lick Rick's hands. He now is cool with Rick. We were told by someone else this morning that this is normal typical behavior for this breed of dogs..just letting you know that he takes care of his family. The lady also said that my mom is overreacting. But we are being demanded to have him gone as soon as possible. Please please help us. I'm going to put up new adds on Facebook after this email. We just want to make sure he goes to a good home. This is killing my two daughters and I to do this since we have had him since he was 6 weeks old.
