Jack is a terrier of some sort, about 13 lbs and we think he is about 2 or three years old. He is neutered, very playful and loves to chew. He is also very affectionate and wants to be petted all the time. Jack doesn't have any special food needs, but he does have sensitive skin that is irritated easily. Jack is crate trained and he loves to spend time outside, but he needs a secure yard.

My family adopted Jack about 8 months ago. Jack gets along very well with our female miniature dachshund. I don't know how he is with cats. Jack is aggressive towards our female lab, and he is fearful/aggressive towards my husband (he prefers me to my husband because I am home with him, and he chases my husband and barks at him when he is home). We have tried to make Jack comfortable with both my husband and our lab, but it's becoming apparent that it just isn't working.

I would like to find Jack a home that he can be comfortable and happy in. He tolerates kids, but definitely prefers adults. Ideally I would like to find a home for Jack without children (he has shown some snappiness towards my 8 year old) and with no large dogs. I feel that Jack would be happiest with a single owner or a couple who would be with him for the same amount of time.
